| JkDefragGUI - GUI Tabs - General |
The general screen covers the basics of JkDefrag
- Action - Use the pull down menu to select an action,
which suits your situation the best.
- Debug level - Use the pull down menu to select the debug
level JkDefrag is using in the logfile.
- Disk - You can select a disk of your choice or use
the checkbox to select of fixed disks. JkDefrag support defragging other disks
then fixed disks but this is disabled by default in the GUI. You can change
the devices to check by changing an option in the devices section of the options tab.
- Speed - It is possible to slow down JkDefrag so it will use less system
resources. Normal speed has a value of 100 and is the default.
- Free space - Set the size of
the free spaces to N percent (0...100) of the size of the volume. The free
spaces are room on disk for temporary files. There are 2 free spaces, between
the 3 zones (directories, regular files, space hogs). Default is 1% (per free
space).

When JkDefragGUI is started for the first time, it will use
the default settings and selects the language based on the
operating system language. With Multi User Interface enviroments (MUI) the language detected is the default operating system language not the language used at that moment.
